For some reason, I have a new obsession with Meatloaf--the man, not the dinner.
It all started when I saw him in the AT&T GoPhone commercial. I absolutely love that he did this commercial. (why? I don't know) My favorite part is when the son character is singing his part of "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" and Meatloaf starts getting really into his singing and puts his hand over his heart like he is touched and amazed by his sons request for a cell phone via song. When I see this commercial I +melt+..The only shitty thing is that he stars in the commercial with Tiffany. 80's Tiffany. I loathe this ginger child for no other reason than the fact that she butchered Tommy James and Shondells gem "I Think We're Alone Now". And the fact that she looks like Indiana trash. I think I have to punch her teeth in.
but Don't be sad, two out of three ain't bad, Meaty....
My 2nd reason for loving Meatloaf is a movie Michael and I ordered from Netflix a couple of months ago called "Pelts" it was an addition to the series "Masters of Horror" and this particular movie was directed by Dario Argento (who happens to be one of my favorite horror directors anyway) and stars...you guessed it...Marvin (Michael) Lee "Meatloaf" Aday. This movie has an amazing plot including pissed off magical raccoons, lots of blood, strippers and a greedy, perverted Meatloaf.
Meatloaf is really an amazing man. He has cheated death millions of times. He was in a serious car crash that should have killed him. He was hit in the head with a shot put, had some weird disease and almost died in a jet crash. Personally, I think luck has nothing to do with this..only the fact that Meatloaf is superhuman has allowed him to survive.
He is...my hero.
