I decided exhaustion is something I have never truly experienced until being a mom.  Even when I was working on my final semester at school and I would stay at the video editing lab until 3 in the morning and then go to work all day only to go back to the lab at night.....

Last night Conrad had a complete emotional crisis.  He has had late night meltdowns before, but nothing like last night.  I am certain is was because Michael picked him up out of his swing to to try to put him in his bed when he was sound asleep.  It was like he was stuck in a nightmare.   with Freddy Krueger.   It was horrible to hear him like that...The whole situation was just intense, out of control, and never-ending.   I hate when there is not a damn thing I can do for him.  It just gets worse and worse.

Ohhhh man.  I've only been here for 3 hours.  It is so hard to stay awake this morning at work.  Even with a pot of coffee and a movie called "Georgy Girl" on Turner Classic Movies. I always loved The Seekers song "Georgy Girl" when I was little...I did not know this was a movie!!!  Lovely. Actually it's slightly stupid other than the 1960's London theme.  I want chocolate.  I want sleep.

Awww...thank you :) I have my second wind now...and the sun is shinylike. I'll be even better when I am off in an hour and a half!

Our Conrad had a bad last night, too. We think it was because we ran out of distilled water and made his formula with filtered tap water--at least, we hope that was the cause. If he has any more episodes of inconsolable screaming back arching stomach hitting, we'll be worried. (We fear the onset of teething.)

It's so nice to get up in the morning and see that your child still smiles at you, though, isn't it?

Yes, it is very nice :)

Do you think the filtered water hurt his tummy? We used to use distilled but a few months ago switched to the filtered tap from our PUR pitcher.

Yeah, Husband thinks it was all of the things the Brita doesn't filter that got to the kid. Conrad was fine last night (except for the whole "Sleep? Why would I do that?" thing he always does)
